Greystar Sustainability Report 2025

Supporting Our Team Members

“Being selected for the Greystar Scholars Fund once again means more than I can properly put into words. It’s more than just financial support; it’s encouragement, validation, and a reminder that people believe in me.”

Stars in Need The Stars in Need program offers financial assistance and essential support to Greystar team members and their families experiencing serious or unforeseen challenges. Beyond payroll contributions, in 2025, we provided approximately $200k in financial support to team members in need through 82 grants. Half of these grants supported individuals facing serious health issues by helping to cover medical costs and related expenses.

Greystar Giving Launched in 2010, Greystar Giving operates as a

decentralized philanthropic initiative and includes a suite of programs designed to support both the communities where we live and work and the needs of Greystar’s own team members. In 2025, Greystar Giving programs were included in US Open Enrollment for the first time, making it easier for employees to contribute through payroll deduction. This led to a meaningful increase in participation across our two core giving channels.

Stargrams In December 2025, we introduced Stargrams, a peer-to-peer recognition program that enables employees to share personalized appreciation messages while supporting the Stars in Need program. By purchasing Greystar-designed e-cards and acknowledging a team member’s positive contributions, employees can foster connection and advance the company’s philanthropic mission. The program was designed to be simple, digital, and easily accessible, which helped support a successful first launch.

Greystar Scholars The Greystar Scholars program provides annual scholarships to the dependents of Greystar team members. Funded jointly by Greystar and participating employees, the program reflects the company’s commitment to supporting families across the organization. The program is intentionally designed to be accessible to families across the business. Nearly half of all scholarship recipients are dependents of team members working in property operations roles, including service technicians, community managers, and housekeeping professionals. Since 2022, Greystar Scholars has awarded an average of approximately 25 scholarships per year to students across more than 20 states in the US. In 2025, the program awarded 26 scholarships, providing more than $100k in financial support. Four recipients received the scholarship for a second year or more, underscoring the program’s sustained commitment to supporting students throughout their academic journeys.
